New Reporting Requirement

Last month the Food Bank emailed all of our agencies about a new reporting requirement that all Food Bank member agencies will need to follow.

USDA food (TEFAP) is some of the best and most consistently available product in the Food Bank’s inventory.

USDA is now requiring that all Food Bank agencies send a report each month to the Food Bank. The report is available on the Food Bank’s website under “Forms.”

The report to use for this reporting was included in the email sent in March.

The report will be due by the 10th of the month that just ended.

  • So, by April 10th, you would turn in the information about the people you served in March.
  • By May 10th, you would turn in the information about the people you served in April…and so on.

The report can be mailed, emailed or faxed back to the Food Bank as you prefer. But however you choose to send it to the Food Bank, just remember to do it each month!

If your agency did not distribute food or serve meals, you would put “0” and still need to send the report back to the Food Bank.

This requirement took effect immediately. Turning in your report each month is necessary for your agency to maintain membership with the Food Bank of East Alabama. For agencies that do not submit the reports as required, they will be put on a temporary hold until the report is submitted to the Food Bank.

As always, call or email if you have questions or need more information. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Food Bank works in partnership with 220+ hunger-relief program partners located throughout our 7 county service area.
