FOOD BANK TODAY Is a United Way agency A member of Feeding America (formerly America’s Second Harvest) Provides food each month to over 12,000 Alabama citizens Serves the needy through over 165 member agencies Distributes an average of 310,570 pounds of food each month (the equivalent of twelve tractor-trailer loads!) For every dollar donated, the Food Bank provides over 14 pounds of nutritious food for distribution to the needy—enough for nine meals.
